Accuracy
The laser beam is emitted in sequence of successive spots to form a line of thermal columns. The length of the line can be varied according to the area to be treated, from 2mm to 14mm. The advantage of varying the size of the thermal column line lies in the accuracy of the treatment.
Reduced thermal damage
The distance between the thermal micro-columns inside the line can be varied from 0.5mm and 2mm. The interval between the coagulation micro-columns determines the thermal damage on the skin. You can choose to carry out a more or less aggressive treatment depending on the phototype and the type of pathology.
Power
MultiFrax® can reach a power of up to 70mJ, but even at lower powers it effectively treats melasma, actinic keratoses, stretch marks and signs of aging. The compact technology of MultiFrax allows to convey the maximum energy without dispersion, thus guaranteeing performance comparable to the largest laser stations.
Performance
From an in-house histological study, the penetration of the laser beam is exactly comparable to that of other non-ablative fractional lasers. The effect of thermal micro-columns can be found deep in the dermis already at 20mJ.
Comfort
A peculiar feature of MultiFrax is that it does not require a cooling system, neither integrated nor external. The peak of energy causes the shock to end immediately from the skin is such as to make the treatments absolutely comfortable and not to require the use of contact cooling or devices for cooling the skin.

IS THE TREATMENT WELL TOLERATED BY THE PATIENT?
Yes, thanks to the size of the spot and the high energy supplied by MultiFrax. The effect of the laser results in a lower production of enkephalins (pain mediators) compared to devices with larger spots. This makes it possible not to use anesthetic (or to use it in reduced quantities) and cooling systems.
WHAT KIND OF POWER SUPPLY DOES MULTIFRAX USE?
MultiFrax is powered by the latest generation lithium battery. The battery life with continuous use, without ever turning off the device, is over 4 hours. With average use with breaks between the patients, you can expect the single charge to last up to 8 hours, enough for average business day. But if your practice is very busy, you can always buy additional battery pack and charge one while using the other. The battery is external and swapping them is as easy as plugging your phone.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS CAN BE PERFORMED WITH A SINGLE TIP?
Multifrax supplied with 3 different kinds of tips, supporting up to 500,000 pulses, up to 1 million and 2 million pulses; priced differently. A single 2M type tip with is sufficient to treat 7 faces or 5 décolleté or 10 hands. You can expect a quick and guaranteed profit.
HOW ARE THE TIPS CLEANED?
The multi-treatment tips can be cleaned by wiping the part that comes into contact with the skin with alcohol or disinfectant liquid.
